Ceylon Cinnamon (also referred to as true cinnamon) is produced from the dried inner bark of the Ceylon cinnamon tree. It has a delicate, warming favour compared to the cheaper Cassia variant which is widely available in many supermarkets. Ceylon cinnamon is a versatile spice that can be used in sweet and savoury dishes. It is also known for its medicinal qualities and unlike Cassia, it contains the lowest levels of coumarin, which can be damaging to the liver and kidney when taken in high doses.
Suggested Use : Add ½ teaspoon of organic Ceylon cinnamon powder to smoothies, coffee, or oatmeal for a sweet, aromatic touch.
